Your GDPR Rights

Last updated: January 2026

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you strong rights over your personal data. Even though we are based in Australia, we respect these rights for all users, no matter where they live.

Data Controller

The data controller for personal data collected through this website is:

playzortex.com
103 Underwood Street
Surfers Paradise, QLD 4217
Australia

Contact email: support@playzortex.com

Your Rights in Detail

1. Right of Access (Article 15)

You can ask us for a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We will provide this in a clear, easy-to-read format. There is no charge for this request. We will respond within 30 days.

2. Right to Correction (Article 16)

If any of your data is wrong or out of date, you can ask us to fix it. Just tell us what needs to change and we will update our records. We aim to make changes within 7 days.

3. Right to Deletion (Article 17)

You can ask us to delete all your personal data. This is also called the "right to be forgotten." We will delete your data within 30 days of your request. Some data may need to be kept for legal reasons. We will tell you if that applies.

4. Right to Restriction (Article 18)

You can ask us to limit how we use your data. For example, if you think your data is wrong, you can ask us to stop using it while we check. We will still store the data but will not process it further.

5. Right to Data Portability (Article 20)

You can ask for your data in a standard, machine-readable format (such as CSV or JSON). You can then take this data to another service. We will provide the file within 30 days.

6. Right to Object (Article 21)

You can object to us processing your data at any time. If you object to direct marketing, we will stop right away. For other types of processing, we will review your request and respond within 30 days.

How to Use These Rights

To make a request, send an email to support@playzortex.com with the subject line "GDPR Request." Please include:

  • Your full name (as used when signing up).
  • Your email address (as used when signing up).
  • Which right you want to use.
  • Any details that help us find your data.

We may ask you to verify your identity before we act on your request. This is to protect your data from being accessed by someone else.

How to Withdraw Consent

If you gave us consent to process your data (for example, by signing up for early access), you can take it back at any time. Here is how:

  • Email updates: Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send you. You will be removed within 48 hours.
  • All data: Email support@playzortex.com and ask us to delete your account and all related data.
  • Cookies: Clear your browser cookies and visit the site again. The cookie consent banner will appear and you can make new choices.

Taking back your consent does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it.

How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Our cookie banner: When you first visit the site, choose which cookies to allow. To change your choice later, clear your browser cookies and visit again.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Check your browser's help section for steps.
  • Contact us: Email support@playzortex.com and we can help you manage your cookie preferences.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on:

  • Consent: You gave us clear consent when you signed up. You can withdraw this at any time.
  • Legitimate interest: We may process some data to improve our site and services. We always balance this against your rights.
  • Legal obligation: We may need to keep some data to comply with Australian law.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored on servers outside of Australia or the EU. When this happens, we make sure proper safeguards are in place. This includes standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.

Complaints

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Australia, contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. EU residents can contact their local data protection authority.

Data Breach Notification

If we discover a data breach that puts your rights at risk, we will notify you within 72 hours. We will also report the breach to the relevant authorities as required by law.

Children's Data

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it right away. Parents or guardians can contact us at support@playzortex.com to request removal of their child's data.
